Flic en Flac Central Beach
Flic en Flac Central Beach is located in the town of Flic en Flac, in the west part of Mauritius. This is one of the many beaches of Mauritius situated in the Black River district.
Part of the greater 6km Flic en Flac Beach, the central part is where most visitors to the many self catering accommodations of Flic en Flac will end up spending their holidays.
The stretch covers the Pasadena shopping village near Flic en Flac police station, through the night club district and all the way down to the entrance of Wolmar in south Flic en Flac.
The coastal road running next to the beach is lined with restaurants, bars and night clubs. The stretch near the Spar supermarket and the Pasadena commercial centre offers the most liveliness during the day, with numerous snack stands, fast food vendors and tour operators offering their services, like water skiing, dolphin cruises or big game fishing, and even horse riding on the beach!
Dig in to hearty deep fries, chicken kebabs and samosas from one of the many snack stands by the beach, or enjoy a sit down meal in one of the many restaurants in the surrounding area. The variety is just as big as the quality and standard.
You will also find a pharmacy, a post office, police station, ATM, money exchange shops, and plenty of souvenir boutiques in the area.
Pasadena is also home to the only casino in Flic en Flac, and houses the adjacent night club Teaser’s, popular with tourists and locals alike (leave your flip flops at home, and dress for success if you wish to enter).
Further down south, towards Wolmar, the beach gets more quiet. Perfect for morning swims or afternoon dips. At night, neon lights flicker in the dark, beer bottles sell to the highest bidder and the night clubs of Flic en Flac come to life.
