Flic en Flac North Beach
Flic en Flac North Beach is located in the (tadaa!) north of Flic en Flac, in the west of Mauritius. This is one of the many beaches of Mauritius situated in the Black River district.
Part of the greater 6km Flic en Flac Beach, the north part is discreetly tucked away from the frenzy of central Flic en Flac.
Access this quiet part of Flic en Flac from the coastal road near the restaurant Ti Port (limited parking space), or from the Pasadena shopping village, where you can simply walk between the post office and the police station down to the beach.
The beach sports a beach volleyball net, a few beach beds and umbrellas belonging to the nearby hotels, and little else, apart from huge patches of white sand and quiet waters.
Many of the classic postcard images of Flic en Flac beach are taken here, and it is a nice place to while away a mellow evening while waiting for the sun to set in the Indian Ocean horizon.
There are a few local eateries in the area, and a couple of restaurants and bars near the coastal road and Flic en Flac north commercial centre. The beach itself is a very quiet one, compared to the rest of Flic en Flac, but there is still a bit of night life during the high season. Also, central Flic en Flac is only a short stroll away.
